How a Dallas Chiropractor Reduces Back Pain
Minor Traumas Can Cause Back Pain
When you have experienced trauma in your back, such as a car accident, problems can be consistent for years to come if you don’t see a Dallas Chiropractor. Sometimes these problems can lead to more issues with nerve damage if not cared for or managed. Chiropractic care can help with any lower back pain from a pulled or strained muscle. These kinds of injuries can occur because of whip lash caused by car accidents. Remembering back as a child, my father consistently complained of lower back pain. I would laugh and tell him he was getting old. Not thinking that any minor car wreck, sport injury, or weightlifting, in my teens could be the karma for laughing. People tend to damage the muscles around their spine much more frequently than they notice. A small tingle or sharp stabbing pain might not be anything serious because it doesn’t last for longer than a couple of minutes. However, these pains and tingles are your body trying to warn you of irregularities. Pay attention to these signs. When you feel a sharp pain or annoyance in your lower back, make sure to consult with a Dallas chiropractor. It might not be until years later that after wear on your body that these pains can actually become quite significant.
How A Chiropractor Reduces Back Pain
When a Dallas chiropractor intakes a patient they will review x-rays and provided information of trauma or cause of the pain. They will consult you on your first visit as to what their recommendation would be to help with any pain management, and then they will begin a treatment plan once reviewing all lab results. The manipulation of the spine may not appear as appealing as taking a pill, but medications prescribed from a doctor can only mask the pain, not diminish or rid the pain. To continue living an active lifestyle after an auto injury or another type of accident without medications or along a medicinal treatment plan after a lower back trauma, a Dallas chiropractor can help provide routine spinal manipulation that could possibly reduce all pain up to 80% after a trauma. Spinal manipulation begins with a patient laying on a table while the Dallas chiropractor will apply pressure to certain areas around the spine to work the tissues and muscles back into working condition. After pressure is applied to certain areas the chiropractor will position the patient to manipulate around certain areas of the spinal discs depending on what may need adjusting. Typically, this is where you will hear the back making a “pop” sound. Once the manipulation is finished there will be a possible massage and stretching of the irritated muscles and tissue areas to give the best possible results.

I Was In a Car Wreck, What Now? Contact An Auto Injury Chiropractor!
Auto Accidents Happen Fast
Situations may occur in life that we cannot control. For instance, a distracted driver hits you in bumper to bumper traffic one morning on your way to work and you’re injured, leaving you needing an auto injury chiropractor. You may exit your car to view the damage and maybe there was only a minor scratch on your vehicle, so you rather not deal with holding up traffic and calling 911. You get back in your car and leave without worry. But it is possible that your body can have more damage than the car leaving you in need of a Dallas chiropractor.
Your Body Absorbs Energy
Did you know it is actually possible that your body absorbs the energy of a car accident? Our bodies as well as most modern day cars are made to give and take energy. We can usually transfer that energy through the motion of hitting the brakes during a car accident. But what if you are not aware that the accident is occurring until after it happens? And even if you are aware that the car behind you will not be stopping; where does that energy go? Your body will absorb that energy even if you are at a complete stop leaving you in need of an auto injury chiropractor. We are built to take that energy during an even such as a car accident and turn it into a reaction. During events like this, we will produce adrenaline to keep our bodies aware of what is going on to avoid further injury even if we have mentally checked out. During the “shock” of a car accident, we may not feel any pain because of all the adrenaline that has been produced in our body, but even if you don’t feel pain immediately you should still contact your local Dallas chiropractor.
Call The Police, Insurance, & An Auto Injury Chiropractor
What do I do if it was a minor accident and I don’t feel any pain? Do not leave without getting the information and calling the police. Always report the incident, even if it is just by phone. Take pictures of everything. During an event like this, we tend to just flow through the motions and not think of what to do. Sometimes, onlookers are kind enough to stop. But if there is no one there to assist you, make sure you have a plan of action for accidents like this. Typically, even during a minor car accident our body will mask injury and the pain until hours later, or sometimes even days. Once you have made a report, take pictures of the driver’s licenses of all parties involved as well as insurance cards. You will try to write it down but sometimes there are questions asked at later dates that you will not remember because your brain tends to surrender to the body during a crash. Immediately seek out an auto injury chiropractor such as Accident Centers of Texas as it doesn’t hurt to be checked out. Typically, insurance providers of the other driver will be liable for any medical care after the incident, including a Dallas chiropractor. Follow up with your health care provider, physical therapist, or Dallas chiropractor during these incidents.
A Dallas Chiropractor That Cares
Do not panic during an auto accident. Make sure all passengers and drivers are ok, call the police, take pictures of all vehicles, driver’s licenses, and insurance cards, seek medical attention, and call all insurance providers to report the accident. If you remember these simple steps now, you may be able to ensure that you will be covered during an accident even if you are in shock. At Accident Centers of Texas we’re not just qualified, we care! That’s why we want to provide you with the information you need to stay safe and healthy.

What Does A Chiropractor Do For People In Car Accidents?
Many victims of car accidents suffer everyday with migraines, fatigue, aches and pains, whiplash, and limited mobility. They go on like this thinking its just normal after a car wreck and that the symptoms will go away on their own. Some people believe booking appointments or paying co pays just isn’t worth all the trouble. What most don’t know is that chiropractors can help in many more areas than just the spine and back pain after an accident. Seeing your local Dallas chiropractor can greatly improve quality of life in all areas after your car wreck. Take a look below and see just a few ways an auto injury chiropractor can help you. Booking with your DFW Injury Care clinic is well worth it!
A Dallas Chiropractor Can Relieve Pain Following A Car Accident
People typically go to their local Dallas chiropractor because they are experiencing back and/or neck pain following an auto injury and are hoping for relief. After a car wreck, back and neck pain can be magnified by several things in our everyday lives; sleeping positions, preforming the same motion regularly, stress, and poor diet are just a few. An auto injury chiropractor can get things back on track and relieve not only your back/neck pain after an accident, but also arthritis, joint pain, and tennis elbow to name a few.
Let An Auto Injury Chiropractor Minimize Migraines
Next to neck/back pain the most sought after reason to see your Dallas chiropractor is for migraines. Evidence suggests that spinal manipulation performed by an experienced chiropractor improves migraine headaches and reduces frequency. Chiropractors properly adjust bones and stretch muscles to improve blood flow throughout the body, therefor reducing the throbbing blood vessels that typically set a migraine in motion. Don’t let migraines after an auto accident continue. Call your Dallas chiropractor right away and book a consultation.
Boost Your Immune System
You may not know that there is research that suggest your immune system is directly connected with your spine, so if there are problems with misalignment in the spine it can throw the whole system off track! A misalignment of the spine due to a car accident can cause compression and irritations on nerves and this affects the whole nervous system. Chiropractic treatment provides corrective adjustments to reduce stress and irritation on the nervous system, giving your whole body an immune boost!
Increase Mobility
Everyday activities like getting in and out of the car, sitting at your desk at work, driving for a living, virtually anything after a car wreck, can cause tissue in the body to become restricted and no longer move freely. Chiropractic manipulations by your Dallas chiropractor over time lessen pain and stiffness, which in turn restores mobility and allows those tissues to heal. We can also recommend stretches, exercises, and other methods of care, based on what we believe well best help your injury heal.

Best Back Pack Options For Children
It’s back to school again! While parents are out and about shopping for supplies and back packs. Make sure you get a back pack that is safe and protective of your child’s back and spine.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when picking out and preparing your child’s back pack.
1. Find a back pack with thick shoulder straps. The added padding will help relief on the shoulders. (Always use both shoulder straps) Often times, kids wear their backpacks over just one shoulder because it’s easier to do or looks better. They may end up leaning to one side to help offset the weight. This can develop lower and upper back pain as well as strain their shoulders and neck.
2. Pack the heaviest items at the bottom and towards the back nearest to the body. Remember that less weight is always better. Use the bathroom scale to check that a pack isn’t over 10% to 15% of your child’s body weight. An example, an 80lb kid’s pack should be 8-12 lbs.
3. The back pack should be torso length. It should end two inches below the waist.
4. Find a backpack with a waist strap. The waist strap will help distribute weight more evenly to your hips opposed to the shoulders.
5. Multiple compartments: to help distribute the weight throughout the pack.
